Dr. Joshua K. Diehl

Dr. Diehl is a 2006 graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Diehl completed several externships in Philadelphia, including experiences with the Ophthalmology Department at Albert Einstein Medical Center and the pediatric unit of the Eye Institute in Philadelphia. He joined Dr. Whitling in July 2006 and became sole owner of Clarion Eye Care, Inc. in July 2016. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Pennsylvania Optometric Association & Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society. He enjoys working with people of all ages but finds it particularly rewarding when working with children.

Dr. Kelly L. Owens

Dr. Owens is from nearby Punxsutawney and is familiar with the Clarion area. She received her undergraduate degree from Penn State University and graduated in May 2016 from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. Dr. Owens joined Clarion Eye Care, Inc in July 2016. Her special interests in Optometry include pediatric and geriatric vision, contact lenses, and vision therapy. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Pennsylvania Optometric Association.

Dr. Claire E. Saylor

Dr. Saylor is a Clarion County native and an alumna of Clarion Area. She left the area for her higher education, receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. Most recently, she graduated in May from the University of Missouri St. Louis College of Optometry. Dr. Saylor is currently accepting new patients!

Gail Moore - Office Manager

Gail joined our office in late 2009 and has become a leader in our office. She was recently promoted to Office Manager in January 2021. She is a native of Clarion county and graduated from Clarion Area High School. Patients are immediately greeted with her warm smile and pleasant personality and they, like we, continue to be impressed with her efficiency, patience and compassion.Gail works closely with our billing provider and handles many of the insurance and billing questions and responsibilities.
We are so grateful for the professionalism she brings to the office and feel very fortunate to have Gail working with us. |
Sherry Foulks - Optical Lab Manager

Sherry has been a member of our team since 1986. She is the office optician and has been the operator and manager of our "in-house" optical laboratory. Her quick wit and friendly disposition make her a delight to be around. Sherry has also been the primary dispenser and repairer of eyeglasses in our office since 1995.
She has been known to perform miracles on broken glasses that no one else thought were fixable! |
Danielle Heasley

Danielle joined our practice in October 2016 and has been a wonderful addition! She is a native of Clarion County and graduated from North Clarion High School. Danielle has an upbeat personality and is willing to help in any way she can. She enjoys working with patients and her easy-going personality will put you at ease.
She manages our contact lens inventory and has become a jack of all trades! |
Kimberlee King

Kimmie joined our Clarion Eye Care team in August 2023. We are glad to have her! She is from Scranton, PA but moved to Clarion around 2019. She has really enjoyed being a part of the community! She loves spending time with her husband
and their two Australian Shepherds. Kimmie is learning quickly and has really been a nice addition to our staff! |

Debra Smith

Deb joined our practice in September 2014. She is a Clarion native and graduated from Clarion Area High School. Deb's history in the optical industry has enabled her to step in and help with frame adjustments and repairs. She meets with frame representatives and manages our optical to keep frames organized and our frame inventory up to date.
Her fun and relaxed personality will put you at ease whether she is taking your medical history, performing various diagnostic testing or just perusing our frame boards. |
Brooke Smith - Vision Therapist
Brooke joined our practice May 2024. She graduated from Redbank Valley in 2021 which makes her native to the area. Her
previous experience in eye care has made her a great addition to our team. Brooke's energy will keep you on your toes! Brooke enjoys spending time outside with her family, friends, and pups.

Miranda Terwint
Miranda joined our practice in September 2024! She is a Clarion county native and graduate of Keystone
High School. She has extensive experience in the dental field but recently changed her career path to the EYE when she decided to return to work again after taking some time as a stay-at-home mom. She is a "sports mom" of three boys and they are her world! Miranda's experience in patient care has made her transition to our office easy. We are sure that she will make you feel at ease. We are excited to have her as part of our team! |
