Our goal at Clarion Eye Care is to provide comprehensive quality eyecare with a personal touch. We offer state of the art eye care for all patients, including infants, children, teens and adults.
The doctors are trained and licensed in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, including glaucoma testing and treatment. Some of the advanced technology used in our office includes Goldmann tonometry, a Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer to check your peripheral visual field, a corneal pachymeter to measure corneal thickness, a digital retinal camera for documentation of the health of the optic nerve, and a GDx-VCC Scanning Laser instrument. Drs. Whitling and Diehl also co-manage cataract and refractive surgery patients with the area’s ophthalmologic surgery centers.
Dr. Diehl participates in the InfantSEE program which is a national health campaign sponsored by the American Optometric Association (See InfantSEE page).
Each of the doctors has extensive training in the art and science of prescribing contact lenses. Along with standard soft and rigid gas permeable contact lenses, we also prescribe lenses to correct astigmatism, bifocal soft and gas permeable lenses, extended wear soft lenses, and tinted soft lenses.
Our office is proud of its large optical that has over 700 frames available to meet your budget. Our friendly caring staff will help you choose the style that is best for you. You can also check out our sunwear display that features Maui Jim sunglasses. These stylish sunglasses provide wonderful protection from ultraviolet light, have a double gradient tint to help with glare, are polarized, and have an antireflective coating to help stop reflections off the lens surfaces and glare from behind. Maui Jim sunglasses are available in plano lenses (no prescription) and some styles can be made with your spectacle correction. We also carry Wiley X sunglasses and Cocoons & Vistana Fit-overs (See Sunwear Options page).
